Cleaning Espadrilles

Question - How Do You Clean a pair of Espadrilles?

Answer:

Espadrilles are becoming one of the most sought after spring and summer shoe. They are easy to wear and look stylish whether you're wearing casual pants, a flowing skirt or a beautiful print dress.

Since the wedge bottom of a pair of espadrilles are generally wrapped in jute, which is a natural fibre, they can start to look pretty grimy after repeated wearings. Don't despair and don't toss them out. They are easier to clean then you think.

You can use a mild soap or detergent (I like to use Woolite) and a clean tooth brush to clean the jute wrapped sections of your espadrilles. Scrub gently, rinse and let them air dry.

If you avoid wearing your espadrilles on rainy days where they'll come in contact with mud and grime and clean gently when necessary, your stylish and comfortable pair of espadrilles can last you the entire season and beyond.
